Ethical questions
Parallely to
the developpement of transgenic technology, its use on animals has
raised ethical questions. They are connected with a large range
of common themes such as the welfare of animals, human health or
the environmental preoccupations. In that range of questions, we
also find those relative to the prejudices caused to the animals
by the expression of the transgenic material often provoking tumours,
neuro-degenerative forms of disease etc..., but also the possibility
they escape human control and vanish in nature ; without mentionning
the possibility to modify the human (genom).
